The headings above each file correspond to the file structure
and file location within EASE. For example, LocusLink numbers.txt will need
to be saved to the "Your_EASE_Home"/Data/Convert directory. The
files under Data/Convert are needed for both your genelist and population.
For example, if your genelist contains Affymetrix probesets from the HG-U133A
microarray and you want your population to contain all human LocusLinks,
you will need to download Affymetrix probesets-HG-U133A.txt and LocusLink
numbers.txt. You will also need to download the Homo sapiens.txt population
file and save it in the"Your_EASE_Home"/Lists/LocusLink numbers/Populations
directory. Remember that you must select the appropriate id type for your
list and background when using EASE. The Data/Convert section contains the
categorical system files. The Enhance section contains files for enhancing
EASE annotation with annotation from homologous species. In order to download
a file, click on the name and the file will open. Then, choose "File">"Save
As" from your browser menu and save to the appropriate EASE directory.
Alternatively, you can right-click on file names which are hyperlinks and
choose "Save Target As". This method is probably best since some
files may be large and will need to be fully loaded before they can be saved.
This page is the slow beginning of a new update process(eventually automatic)
for EASE. For now, files will be placed on the page as requested by users.
Therefore, if you need a file, please let us (DAVID Bioinformatics Team)
know.
